Grande successo per Everything Everywhere All at Once, tra i premiati anche Better Call Saul, Brendan Fraser e Cate Blanchett
Nella serata di Domenica 15 Febbraio è andata in onda, dal Fairmont Century Plaza Hotel di Los Angeles, la ventottesima edizione dei Critics Choice Awards, le premiazioni nelle quali i principali critici statunitensi di cinema e TV sono chiamati ad eleggere le migliori produzioni e attori della stagione.
Il vero mattatore della sezione cinema è stato Everything Everywhere All at Once, l’ action comedy con protagonisti Michelle Yeoh e Key Huy Quan che si è portato a casa ben 5 vittorie, inclusa quella per il miglior film.
Tra le premiazioni attoriali da segnalare Brendan Fraser e Cate Blanchett, i migliori attori nelle rispettive categorie, mentre Angela Bassett, dopo aver portato il primo importante riconoscimento in casa Marvel, riesce a bissare il successo come migliore attrice non protagonista.
Sul fronte TV Better Call Saul trionfa in 4 categorie, riscattandosi parzialmente dalla discutibile debacle dei Golden Globe.
